Huh? Someone wake me up. Has all of this been one big, fat dream?
Today is a pretty special day for us.
One that we were never sure we would actually see and certainly not one where we expected to be in the position we are in today!
Sugar & Spice has been in the Top 100 for 100 days.
You have no idea how crazy that sentence is.
Less than 200 days ago, Sugar & Spice was on our hard drive and floating around in cyber-space, back and forth between Mark and myself. No-one had ever heard of it or us. Saffina Desforges was a complete unknown.
Our sales (since January) are rapidly approaching 60,000. We are #1 in 6 categories and have been in the Top 5 Kindle Paid Store for over 5 weeks now. We have survived battles with well-known, traditionally published authors, books from current TV serials and massive literary forces that are Stieg Larsson, Gordon Ferris and Stephen Leather et al.
We have also had contact this week from some rather big players in the world of literary agency representation.
We have had 137 reviews so far – 77% of them are 4 stars and above. We are not far off 100 5 star reviews. Here’s a couple of the latest ones:
Sugar & Spice should soon be available on Waterstones, Tesco and iTunes too.
Today, work on Snow White, Book one of The Rose Red Crime series is thundering along at an alarming pace and we should be previewing its new cover in the next two weeks, ready for a summer release.
Equilibrium is next for the SD team, something for Halloween and Christmas for your Kindle.
The project list gets larger and more adventurous every day.
It’s been a crazy ride. I wonder what I will be posting 100 days from now?
Thanks for coming along with us!

/ May 19, 2011So awesome. I’m following all this like a scaredy-cat kid watching pals on the roller coaster. Am I going to get up the gumption to get on that ride? Will it be as much fun for me? Or will I lose my lunch on the first descent? Serious congrats, guys!
